Over 440,000 people work downtown and the zip code with the highest workforce income in the city of Los Angeles is directly across the street from Historic Downtown. A number of new residential buildings will open this year in Historic Downtown – and even more new buildings are opening in nearby Downtown neighborhoods. In just 2009, thousands more residents moved to Downtown to join the 40,000 who already live here.
