Even before the first lofts opened on Main and Spring, pioneering artists of all types, lovers of historic architecture and dreamers who saw a future in the oldest part of our city started to migrate to Main, Spring and Broadway.
By the turn of the last century, a core of people who made these events happen were all within a few blocks of each other and they made the very first of the entrepreneurial mix of individuals who make Historic Downtown increasingly one of the creative centers of Los Angeles.
